Kaigen Cough Suppressant Syrup is a Designated Class 2 OTC Drug in Japan.² It is formulated as a multi-ingredient liquid medicine designed to suppress coughs and facilitate the discharge of phlegm.³

 Usage and Administration

The syrup is intended to be taken 3 to 4 times a day (up to 6 times if necessary, with at least 4 hours between doses).¹⁰

• Adults (15+ years): 10 mL per dose.¹¹

• Children (12–14 years): 6 mL per dose.

• Children under 12: Do not use.¹²
